This concept paper examines connections between lean, production planning, traditional construction, lean construction and develops a simple framework for integrating project information model and virtual reality (VR) simulation of construction project activities. The author’s pause a question about Toyota recognised that integration was necessary to achieve the objective of global optimisation in design and production and that this authoritative challenges Lean Construction today. They developed a simple framework for integrating project delivery as an information exchange channel supply chain system model as one of the indicator to achieve high level value for high-performance construction projects. Then they emphasised on how virtual design and construction (VDC) embedded within and enables simple framework model, explaining each element of VDC to how contractors can leverage it to improvise towards delivering high-performing infrastructure projects.
