Parameters Affecting Damageability of Reinforced Concrete Members

Abstract Research has been undertaken to develop damage curves for RC members. This paper deals with the first stage of the aimed study, which is the determination of all significant parameters that affect the damageability of RC components. Analytical investigations for columns and beams are presented for a broad range of parameters, emphasizing on their effect on the structural damage. These results will then be used to develop damage curves that are expressed in terms of the inter story drift ratio.
