A Graphic Vision of the Headquarters of the Religious Communities of Zamora
Abstract This communication intends to expose the state of the investigation that is being carried out on the heritage that the religious communities have built in the city of Zamora. Methodologically, it is a graphic analysis that seeks to clarify the morphology of existing buildings, with special emphasis on the numerous disappeared buildings, as well as their influence on the current urban fabric. The buildings are systematically approached from ancient monasteries of the urban periphery, as well as convents and schools of the city center. The first work was to organize the vast amount of information from very different times that existed on buildings that span temporarily from medieval times to buildings built in the middle of the last century. The main objective is to create a dual story of a brief review of the history of the religious community related to the morphology of the buildings they built and inhabited. For this, plants, elevations, sections, interior and exterior views are used, as well as synthetic volumetries of the building that show the evolution of the building. Finally, in this work we have studied seventy headquarters of twenty orders, companies and religious congregations.
