Simulation of Overhead Transmission Lines for Computing Induced Voltages
Abstract Models of overhead transmission lines with different variants of grounding and including the case of the presence of a fiber-optical cable built into the ground wire are suggested. The method for calculating induced voltages on disabled transmission lines is elaborated. A way to reduce the induced voltages by grounding the ground wire on every pole is suggested. Additional losses of active power due to the grounding mode are evaluated.
