A Hybrid Algorithm for Acceleration Harmonic Estimation and Elimination in Shake Table
Shake table tests instantly submit structural models to seismic excitation and evaluate their overall performance. However, inconsistencies in the amplified seismic output will undoubtedly exist, and the desired signals cannot be precisely achieved. The ability to accurately estimate and analyze system harmonics is necessary for building control filters that hinder harmonic levels in the signals. This paper initially focuses on studying key techniques such as time integration algorithms, filtering techniques, and metaheuristic optimization methods to understand their applications and their implementation in shake tables. Then, a hybrid algorithm that has the capability of regulating the weights of the unknown parameter of the harmonic signal arising in the table is formulated. A simulation and experimental study are carried out, and the developed algorithm is also compared to the artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm, particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, and modified ant bee colony-recursive least squares (MABC-RLS) algorithm and studied in terms of performance. Finally, future research and application challenges are discussed and underlined.
