Submarine Pipeline Stability under Stream and Waves Action
The assessment of the stability of an offshore subsea pipeline requires determination of the loads influencing the pipeline, arising from the combined action of stream and waves. This article provides general ideas, provisions, and methods for calculating loads on a pipeline from stream and waves, both in Russian and international practices. This research can be useful as an overview of stream design and operational safety assessment of subsea pipelines. This paper also suggests some relevant future research directions.
