Chemical Control of Organic Substances for Correction of Water-Chemical Regimes at TPPs
Chemical control of organic compounds is a topical issue of operation of thermal power units of TPPs and NPPs. Transition to power units of superhigh and supercritical parameters using desalted supplementary water can eliminate salt deposits. However, corrosion processes continue in different parts of the steam water path under the action of thermolysis products of organic substances (both coming with supplementary water and suction in turbine condensers and due to degradation of used oils and ionites). With wide introduction of combined- cycle power plants and transition from hydrazine-ammonia to amine water-chemical regimes (WCR) there appeared the challenges of organization of operational and entering chemical control of amine-containing reagents. The article provides an analysis of the main methods of organic compounds chemical control in the thermal power plants and nuclear power plants’ waters, including total organic carbon measurements and individual components using TOC analyzers, ion liquid chromatographs, conductometers, and pH meters. The possibility of ensuring standards for the content and chemical control of organic substances in power plants feed water and steam has been demonstrated. Special attention is paid to chemical control of amines while organizing amine WCR. The use of test and calorimetric methods is presented, examples of organization of chemical control at operating power units of TPPs are given. Requirements to the entering control of complex amine-containing reagents are presented.
