Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
Abstract As growing evidence reveals the linkages among environmental, social, and technical requirements, and design problems become increasingly interconnected and complex, landscape architects are challenged to address issues beyond their previous experience, and moreover, beyond the capabilities of any single discipline (Roy 1979; Musacchio et al. 2005; Calkins 2012). A fundamental principle of ecological thinking is that all aspects of the landscape are relevant to an understanding of its highly integrated structure and function. As a consequence, designers require a comprehensive assessment of the issues and relationships regarding a site as well as the people and the activities to be accommodated. And because knowledge changes rapidly, this assessment needs to be based on the most up-to-date information available.
