Design and Implementation of Hybrid Self-Control Scheme for PM Synchronous Motor Drive
This work describes a state-of-the-art design and implementation of a hybrid self-control scheme for PM Synchronous motor drive. The hybrid scheme is developed by combining conventional self-control with V/f control. This modification leads to elimination of the closed-loop current control scheme required for conventional self-control. The dynamic performance of this drive is comparable with conventional self-control drive. However, elimination of current control loop reduces overall cost and complexity of the drive. Indigenous techniques have been developed to implement the scheme. These developed techniques are such that, which can be implemented with minimum resources to make the drive simple and cost-effective. These features make this drive suitable for applications like fan, blower, pump, E-Rickshaw, E-Scooter, etc. Experimental results are presented to validate the performance of the drive.
