Abstract An almost fully automated device has been developed which is suitable for the continuous monitoring of setting and hardening of cement paste and fresh mortar. Some special features are presented and discussed with respect to the reliable contact of ultrasound transmitter and recorder. The analysis of the US signals employs a modified Hinkley criterion.

Résumé Un appareil presque entièrement automatisé a été développé afin de pouvoir exercer un contrôle continu sur la prise et le durcissement de la pâte de ciment et du mortier frais. L’article présente certaines caractéristiques spécifiques et aborde la fiabilité du contact d’un transmetteur-enregistreur à ultrasons. L’analyse des signaux ultrasons se base sur l’utilisation du critère de Hinkley modifié.
