Smart Village—A Potential to Apply in Vietnamese Rural Areas
65.4% of Vietnam’s population belongs to its rural areas. The migrant worker from rural areas accounted for 20% (Ho Chi Minh City), up to 40% (Binh Duong) of the total urban population. The number of migrant workers from rural areas significantly impacts Vietnamese urban and rural urbanization. In response to sustainable development, many rural areas need an intelligent solution that applies science and technology to increase education, health, salary security, manufacturing enterprises, clean water, proper sanitation, and environmental sustainability. The study aims to propose a smart model for Tan Thanh Village, a typical village in Dak Lak province. To achieve the study results, the raw data set is collected from reliable sources, synthesized, and analyzed to build the primary findings of the case study. The study includes five parts: (i) introduction (ii) the smart village concepts, case studies of smart villages in the world, and Study context, (iii) Methodology and Methods, (iv) a smart village of Tan Thanh, (v) Conclusions.
