Creep deformation of concrete as a linear function of relative stresses
Conclusions 1. For equal relative stresses, equal final creep deformations of the concrete are obtained, independent of the age and strength of the concrete at the moment of application of the load. 2. There is a curvilinear relationship between creep deformation and relative stress. However, this can be expressedlinearly in accordance with Eqs. (6)–(9), with sufficient accuracy for practical purposes. 3. For approximate calculations, use can be made of Eqs. (2)–(5), derived on the basis of the SN 365-67 recommendations. 4. The proportionality coefficient in the theoretical equations (conditionally equal maximum creep deformation of the concrete with compressive stresses approaching the breaking point) does not depend on the age of the concrete. 5. New formulas proposed for the calculation of creep deformations of the concrete of massive blocks enable the maximum relative deformations to be calculated simply and with sufficient accuracy.
