Micromechanical Poroplasiticty Damage Formulations for Saturated Microcracked Rocks
We present homogenization-based constitutive thermodynamic formulations for poroplasticity damage modeling of saturated microcracked rocks. Emphases are put upon the case of closed frictional cracks of random distribution. Plastic flow due to frictional sliding, crack propagation characterized by an isotropic damage variable and evolution of pore pressure are coupled naturally and inherently. A simple numerical application is presented to show the predictive ability of the proposed model.
