Resilient Design for Mitigating Tidal Flood on Fisherman Settlements in Muara Angke
In Jakarta, land subsidence impacts land degradation by approximately 3-10 cm/year. This issue causes a threat that 40% of Jakarta will be submerged by 2050. İt also impacts the rising sea level, which causes tidal flooding on coastal houses. This research aims to discover resilient design strategies for coastal areas, especially Muara Angke. The research began with a literature study about mitigation strategies that have been carried out based on resilient design principles, integration, and protection. The research attempts to find mitigation strategies by doing flood simulations ranging from 40 to 300 cm. The simulation results show which mitigation strategies would suit different areas in Muara Angke. A redevelopment process accompanies this mitigation strategies implementation on houses into a 60 m2 layout. The conclusion derived from the redevelopment process is that housing unit configurations are needed for community resilience, which is done by integrating houses with community areas and pathways.
