Correlation of Mechanical Properties of Concrete with Partial Metakaolin Replacement with Various Depended Factors
The pore structure in concrete plays an important role in the durability of concrete. Concrete often being exposed to harsh climatic and environmental conditions, pore refinement of concrete plays an important role in protecting the rebars. Metakaolin, being an artificial pozzolanic admixture, an optimum dosage helps in the pore refinement of concrete. Various papers are referred for the research data for the generation equations. Many dependent factors affect the mechanical properties of concrete, such as the age of concrete, percentage of addition of admixtures, and water–cement ratio, being considered in the study. In this paper, regression equations are formulated for mechanical properties such as compressive strength, split tensile strength, sorptivity, chloride penetration, and porosity by adopting the appropriate number of factors and levels.
