Generalized collocation method for linear and nonlinear convection-diffusion models
Abstract The generalized collocation method has proved to be a simple and useful numerical approach for the simulation of a number of one- and two-dimensional nonlinear differential problems. Its remarkable efficiency to solve convection-diffusion models is shown in this note. Some typical test cases are dealt with and the good results that have been obtained suggest that the proposed generalized collocation method could be useful to simulate a class of equations usually adopted to describe several important processes in water engineering.
