Originality and Safety as a Priority in the Revitalization of Immovable Monuments?
The article describes the technical condition of the historic building of a Post-Mennonite cottage in Chrystkowo (Poland), made of wooden log technology with a front arcade based on poles, partially revitalized. The building is called “Chata Chrystkowska”. The aim of the authors is to evaluate the performed works in terms of their effectiveness and durability after 9 years of operation, the more so as they also included unconventional solutions that could not currently be allowed for implementation. It is a case study, but similar problems also apply to many other historical objects, therefore the experience gained at “Chata Chrystkowska” can certainly be transferred to other construction objects, made in a mixed wooden technology, i.e. carcass and frame technology.
