Abstract How can we shape data so that it helps us as designers. How can seemingly random noise evoke emotions and look nice? Apparently designers can guide data to take pleasing shapes. I will elaborate in this paper on how to look at data, strategies to process it, and why live interaction can be key to better understand what the data means. We will also look at how designers can make use of data processing to support a creative process.
