Historical Aspects of Urban Planning in the Kola North
The article shows the methodological resource of historical urban studies in understanding the problems of modern urban development. Based on the analysis of town planning plans and urban buildings of the Kola North, the article concludes about the heuristic potential of urbanistic theories for the scientific study of the present and future of Arctic cities.
