The regeneration of Palermo waterfront exemplifies the principles of the “augmented port city”, fostering new circular metabolisms and enhancing urban life. This process transforms port areas into integral components of the city, promoting interaction between urban and maritime functions. The new Port Masterplan, developed through extensive planning, aims to reconnect the city with its waterfront, emphasizing the importance of the port as a cultural and economic hub.
