Rainfall Deficiency and Water Conservation Mechanisms in Western Rajasthan
This chapter presents and analyses the current state as well as the history of Water management structures used by the citizenry of western Rajasthan. The analysis focuses on experimental technical knowledge gained by communities, which evolved through participative and decentralized water governance arrangements. Communities may be able to cope with present water demands if they combine traditional and modern technologies so as to achieve an efficient Water management.
