The deformation of flexible pavements can be very dangerous for users. That is why we try to better understand the progress of rutting due to the permanent deformation of the unbound materials layers. From experiments made on LCPC carousel, we have shown that this progress is linear if we don 'I consider the damage of bituminous layer. The rutting in asphalt concrete is not taken into account. We propose a finite element model that simulates rutting progress and rut shape. The software is divided into two parts. The first one takes into account the 3D stress field due to loads. Next, rutting creation amounts to a 2D computation. This model could be improved using tests to identify a rutting law.
