Projet MECA—EDF/R&D
The main results obtained, using the models developed by the LCPC, for the MECA benchmark proposed by EDF/R&D are presented here. First, the objective was to simulate the numerical behaviour of a reinforced concrete beam subjected to a three point bending test. And second, the modelling of the crack initiation and propagation in a notched concrete prism subjected to different paths coupling shear and tension. A classical elastoplastic approach and a discrete modelling of an explicit crack in the material are used.
