Evaporative heat meters in practice
Where there are collective heating systems — as, for example, in district heating schemes or centrally—located plants for blocks of flats—interest has focused on methods to measure consumption by individual tenants in order to economise on energy-use. The author, who works for Constantin Brun A/S, Copenhagen, describes some favourable experiences in Scandinavia and elsewhere in the use of meters based on the principle of fluid evaporation.
