The spatial behaviour of multinational companies, especially in the developing countries, has not received much attention in the literature. This is awkward because the volume of multinational investments in such countries compared with indigenous effort is so large that the spatial distribution of these investments is bound to have serious regional development implications. This paper examines the spatial pattern formed by foreign private investments in Bendel State of Nigeria, some explanatory factors for this as well as the concomitant political and regional development implications.
