Kenneth Claxton initiated one of the first developments of computer-aided building design in 1964. This was for the IBIS project being developed in the United Kingdom at that time. Subsequently he has served on a number of Government and Local Government committees on this subject, and is a partner in the architectural practice of Briars Goodman Claxton, London. He lectures in 'Building Technology and Processes' at London University.
