Habitat's habitus: Nature as sense of place in land use planning decision‐making
Nature has a variety of meanings attributed to it through representation. The meanings become contested in planning decision‐making, as the same site may be represented differently by different actants. I identify representations of nature in selected Environmental Impact Assessment processes in Western Australia, emphasising the role of science in influencing outcomes.
