Contribution des liants polymères à la pérennité des caractéristiques des enrobés bitumineux de surface
The macrotexture of pavement surface layers is a key factor for safety of users. Both traffic loading, which can decrease the surface roughness and create some local micro-damage, and environmental factors (temperature, water) can alter the properties of the surface layers. This study focuses, by developing a specific experimental program, how the kinetics of deterioration and how using polymer modified binders can improve the durability. Tests are developed such as to reproduce and quantify both traffic effects on macrotexture and coupling between traffic and environmental effects. The added value of modified binders is confirmed.
