United Nations help in Adriatic coastal development scheme
Concern that the discovery of the tourist attractions of the Adriatic coast could lead to a rate of building development which might be beyond the local planning resources led the Yugoslav authorities to seek the co-operation of the United Nations in producing an acceptable development programme. This article, based on material supplied by Miro Marosovic, director of the North Adriatic Project in Rijeka, Yugoslavia, and the Yugoslav National Tourist Office in London, discusses the way in which the task has been approached.
