Experimental Study on Earthquake Resilience of Low-Damage Self-Centering Precast Concrete Frame Connections
The earthquake resilience of low-damage self-centering precast concrete frame connections (LDSCPC) is studied in this article. Cyclic load tests are carried out, and the results show that the overall damage of the precast beam of specimen LDSCPC1 at 3% drift is even less than that of specimen RC1 at 0.25% drift. The LDSCPC connections can still maintain the original performance to a large extent after the earthquake and almost wholly recover to the initial performance level after replacing the dampers. Based on maintaining similar bearing capacity and deformation ability with RC joint, LDSCPC connections have excellent earthquake resilience.
