Eine Plattform für die Wissenschaft: Bauingenieurwesen, Architektur und Urbanistik
After attending the CIB W 55 symposium on building economics in Ottawa last year, the author followed up his interest in cost-modelling research by a study tour of British universities and polytechnics. This review is the result. It is prompted by the belief that much current research is fragmentary, and that there are insufficient media through which researchers can be made aware of the work of others, leading to areas of overlap. The author is Lecturer in Quantity Surveying and Building Economics, University of Natal, South Africa.
