Study on the effect of elevation on the prediction of underwater drill and blasting vibration frequency
Due to the presence of water medium, underwater drill and blasting vibration frequency are substantially increased, and the monitoring of underwater drill and blasting is increasingly difficult. Therefore, through the dimensional analysis and introducing the elevation difference factor β, the forecasting formula of vibration frequency which takes altitude effect into consideration was deduced. The software of ANSYS/LS-DYNA was employed to study the attenuation law of vibration frequency in underwater drill and blasting. Combining with the project of underwater drill and blasting for the anti-collision belts of Road Bridge over Yangtze River in Wanzhou, the correlation coefficients, K, α, and β, were solved, and which was contracted to the two commonly used prediction equations. It turned out that the forecasting formula of vibration frequency which takes altitude effect into consideration can properly reflect the attenuation law of vibration frequency, and which could also accurately predict the blasting vibration frequency in underwater drill and blasting.
