Although not an exhaustive survey of a subject which has occupied research in many countries, this brief review highlights certain well-documented tests on the long-term deformations of reinforced and prestressed columns and beams that might be used as controls in future tests. The review was undertaken at the Division of Structural Engineering and Bridge Building, Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm.
