LENGTH OF GRADUALLY VARIED FLOW PROFILES
Flow profile length is an important parameter occurring in the design of hydraulic structures like dams, canals, weirs and barrages. The flow profile length is expressed in the form of an integral of an involved function. In this investigation analytical and empirical equations for flow profiles length have been obtained and their salient features have been highlighted. It is hoped that the equations are useful to the design engineer.
