Réglementation thermique algérienne des bâtiments
In Algeria, thermal code for dwelling units has been set up in 1997 to reduce the heating energy consumption in the order of 25%. Currently, a thought is on progress to increase this reduction to about 40%. For this purpose, numerical simulations have been worked on typical dwellings. This study showed that it is possible to reach the new objective by only limiting the thermal losses by transmission. Either, this study showed that the cooling load is also affected. The new thermal code could be based on the two following principles: the use of the 1997 code for only detached houses, whereas more severe coefficients for apartment buildings must be defined.
