The green energy transition promises alternatives to burning fuel for power, yet many of the extractivist patterns in the fossil fuel industry are reproduced within the realm of green energy. Part cartomancy, part spatial association, part lateral thinking, Lithium Laterals is a tool for constructing counternarratives to challenge dominant trajectories of the energy transition. The deck’s structure and interdisciplinary approach encourage diverse interpretations, aiming to stimulate alternative worldviews and pathways to more equitable futures.
