Caractérisation numérique du phénomène de localisation des déformations dans des essais biaxiaux sur sable
Numerical finite element modelling is used to study the stability of the Hostun sand sample in the drained biaxial test. The aims of this work are the following: at first, findings concerning the occurrence of strain localization compared to the stress-strain curve is discussed. Moreover, it is shown that Hill's condition of stability allows to exhibit the localized zone of granular materials. Finally, the influence of the parameters which release the localization is analysed. So, we study the influence of initial state of the sand and we propose to study the effect of the material heterogeneity by introducing a random dispersion of the friction angle.
