A tendering procedure used particularly for low-rise housing has been developed by Stadsbyggnadsbyran AB, Stockholm. It involves specifying the users' upper and lower limits for costs and qualities, and inviting tenderers to submit their own ideas and solutions within such limits. These are then systematically analysed. How the system has operated in practice is described in relation to a project at Vastra Mariedal Vanersborg.
