Univariate box-jenkins forecasts of water discharge in Missouri river
The Missouri river is one of the major rivers in the USA and is used for various purposes such as irrigation, electricity generation, fishing and other recreational activities. Predicting the flow of water would help to plan all activities that are dependent on this river. The results of Univariate Box-Jenkins forecasts show that the Seasonal AutoRegressive Moving Average (SARIMA) model with logarithmic transformation of the form SARIMA (0, 1, 1) (0, 1, 1)12 is a fairly good parsimonious representation of the underlying process.
