HYNETS : Hydraulic network simulator
For the operation of a waterworks system, factors such as (1) Effective water resources utilization, (2) Economical facilities operation, (3) Accident prevention, and (4) Impartial service to consumers are considered. HYNETS (Hydraulic Network Simulator) is a set of simulation systems for computers to support operational personnel in exploring effective total waterworks system operation, so that they may accomplish the above requirements. It consists of the following systems: (1) Dam-Flow Prediction, (2) Supply Prediction, (3) Distribution Network Simulation, and (4) Conveyance Network SImulation. These systems utilize models that reflect the waterworks system mechanism to provide tools for prediction, optimization and analysis. They have been installed in the Waterworks Operation Center, Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Waterworks, and their effectiveness has been highly evaluated.
