Anchor-tube type foundations for distribution line supports
The objective of this report is to present a type of prefabricated steel foundation for tubular metallic poles with reduced base dimensions, which can be installed in a short period of time and without the necessity for excavation, concrete pouring, or ground removal. This type of foundation is made up basically by a galvanized steel tube with elements that facilitate the driving in and joining to the pole by base plates. The installation is undertaken with a driller truck, which applying a vertical force and a rotation on the anchor-tubes embeds them vertically into the terrain. The same equipment makes the erection of the pole for its connection to the foundation by bolts easier.
