Flat Stock Finishing began several years ago, with N/C lacquers claiming nearly all of the early applications. Lacquers are still around, but conversion synthetics, water reducibles, and high solid types are winning the market place. Energy and the environment are the driving forces in the use of these newer and more sophisticated coating systems. A discussion of the entire line of products will be done. This will include reverse fillers and sealers, groundcoats, inks, groove coatings, and topcoats. A simple one step economy line as well as a full system for shelving one step economy line as well as a full system for shelving panels will be followed from start to finish with approximate times and temperatures for each material used.
