By using the available data of lightwater reactors, the trends of current and near-term thermal converters and longrange fast breeders are predicted and discussed. the unit plant cost, and the total nuclear power cost versus the cumulative and the net plant capacity are respectively shown by curves. the first and the equilibrium core costs and the plant thermal efficiency versus the cumulative plant capacity are illustrated.
