Computer control system for the asaka water purification plant, tokyo metropolitan bureau of water works
With the completion of the third enlargement at the end of 1970, the asaka water purification plant was completed. Separate chapters are devoted to the newly developed computer control system, the purification process, the fundamentals of computer control, the construction of the computing equipment, and the application programs. In the application program section, the data scanning alarm, daily data correction, water amount control, water conveyance control, filtering flow rate control, water feed control, water distribution control, filter basin purification control and chemical injection ratio control are outlined. Included also are discussions of online control of 3,000 kw class pump, purification of 96 filter basins, chemical injection, and on-line control of water level.
