Structure of autoclave porous concrete SIBIT (YTONG)
The structure of porous concrete SIBIT (analogous to YTONG) was studied using synchrotron radiation diffraction. Based on the positions of discrete reflections in the diffraction pattern the structure of concrete was shown to correspond to that for a known compound tobermorite Ca5Al(OH)Si dot 5H2O. Among the reflections of SIBIT no strong those have been observed from starting materials used for its commercial production. From the diffraction patterns the existence of a fraction of certain non-crystalline material and additive presence of water in concrete exposed to liquid water has been also established.
