Monitoring of a prestressed concrete girder bridge with fiber optical Bragg grating sensors
This technical note has demonstrated that it is possible to monitor the strains in a concrete girder bridge during tensioning of the prestressing cables by means of Bragg grating sensors. The results are in good agreement with additional measurements by means of Demecs and they also correspond well with simplified analytical calculations.
