Diagnostic of rebar corrosion within reinforced concrete specimens by resonant inspection
The paper describes reinforced concrete sample testing by the Resonant Inspection Method. The aim of our research was to find relationship between corroded and uncorroded rebars and their frequency response. The impulses were generated by a spatial hammer and the response was taken by a piezoelectric sensor. Primary analyses were done by the Fourier frequency method. The change of the different sample characteristics indicates the corrosion level of tested steel armature. Stated figures prove that the analyses results of measurements carried out on an specimen samples the correlation. In case corroded rebar there appeared shifts to maximum values of power spectral densities toward lower frequencies.
