In this paper an ultra high performance self-compacting concrete (UHPSCC) was developed. After water curing at 20 deg C cylindrical compressive strength of more than 150 N/mm2 in the age of 28 days was reached. The speciality in concrete proportioning, compared with conventional self-compacting concrete, will be described. Because of the much higher paste content in UHPSCC the empirical relationship between compressive strength and modulus of elasticity for conventional high performance concrete should be modified in the case of UHPSCC. The properties of fresh concrete and the autogenous shrinkage of UHPSCC were also investigated.
