Research on properties of Portland cement added with nano-SiO2
The basic properties of nano-Si02 are introduced firnt in this paper, and then the article does careful research an the effects of nano-Si02 an the paste fluidity, the setting time, compressive and bending strength and microcosmic structure of Portland cement. The effect mechanism is analyzed wich the microscopic methods of X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and Scan Electronic Microscope (SEM). The experimental results show that nano-Si02 has nicer adaptability to Portland cement and can improve its microstructure and macroscopical properties. Its optimal content is 5%-6% of the weight of cement. WC believe that the properties of HPC (High Performance Concrete) will be more excellent if some nano-Si02 is added to it.
