Numerical computation of rigidity for worm-gearing tooth with circular profile
The study of the rigidity for worm-gearing teeth is much more complicated than that of plane gearing teeth since worm-gearing is three-dimensional. In this work, we propose a numerical method to evaluate the rigidity of worm-gearing teeth. The software, with numerical setting-up and graphic display, is an original and special program for determining the rigidity. Furthermore, it could be adopted for any kind of cylindrical worm-gearings, as well as for spur gearings and bevel gearings.
